- Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our fast-paced dealership team.
In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repair services. Your enthusiasm, mechanical knowledge, and exceptional communication skills will ensure a smooth and positive experience for every client. You will coordinate between customers and our skilled technicians, accurately assess vehicle needs, and promote additional services to maximize customer satisfaction and dealership revenue. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs Prepare detailed auto service estimates using automotive diagnostics tools and auto estimating software Explain repair procedures, costs, and timelines clearly to customers, ensuring transparency and trust Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs, monitor progress, and communicate updates to customers Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, transmission repairs, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, air brake systems, auto body repairs, and other automotive diagnostics Write service orders accurately while maintaining comprehensive service records Handle cash transactions efficiently and responsibly while providing excellent customer service throughout the process Requirements Proven dealership experience or service advisor background in an automotive setting Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in automotive diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance procedures Experience with auto estimating software and service writing processes Knowledge of various automotive systems including transmissions, oil changes, brakes, suspensions, tires, diesel engines, shocks & struts, air brakes, alignments, and auto body repair Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer satisfaction and sales techniques such as upselling Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining professionalism Prior experience working with service technicians or in auto service management is highly desirable Mechanical experience or background as a mechanic is a plus for understanding technical issues effectively Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering top-tier automotive care!
