Job Description
Overview:
As an Automotive A/B Technician, you'll play a critical role in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure our customers stay safe on the road. From advanced diagnostics to complex mechanical repairs, you'll use your technical expertise and problem-solving skills to deliver high-quality service and dependable results. For over 50 years, De Re Tire & Auto has served the South Suburbs of Chicago with reliable tire services and expert auto repair. From new tires and routine maintenance to brake service and inspections, our friendly team provides honest, professional service to keep your vehicle safe and road-ready.What You'll Be Doing:
Diagnose and repair a wide range of automotive systems including engine, suspension, brakes, steering, and electrical components Perform advanced maintenance services such as alignments, brake repairs, engine diagnostics, and drivability concerns Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately identify vehicle issues and recommend appropriate repairs Complete work efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and safety Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and clearly document findings and recommendations Collaborate with service advisors and team members to ensure excellent customer experience Maintain shop equipment and ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment Stay current with evolving automotive technology and repair techniques Perform additional duties as assigned to support shop operations and team success What You'll Bring withYou:
2+ years of automotive repair experience (A/B level preferred) Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across multiple vehicle systems Experience with digital inspections and PC-based diagnostic tools ASE certifications are a plus (or willingness to obtain) Valid driver's license required Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods Ability to push, pull, bend, twist, and work in various physical positions throughout the day Must be authorized to work in the United States What You'll Get inReturn:
