Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Utility Trailer Mechanic Apprentice and kickstart your career in heavy equipment and vehicle maintenance! This paid apprenticeship offers hands-on experience working with a wide range of utility trailers. Under the guidance of seasoned technicians, you will develop essential mechanical skills, learn to diagnose and repair various systems, and gain exposure to advanced tools and schematics. This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to build a strong foundation in automotive and equipment repair within a fast-paced, supportive environment. Responsibilities Assist in inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing utility trailers, landscape trailers and cargo trailers using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment Support the disassembly and reassembly of components such as, axles, suspensions, hydraulics, and brakes Learn to troubleshoot electrical, bearing, brake, and tire issues effectively Perform routine maintenance tasks including tire service, Axle alignments, wheel bearing replacement and lubrication. Help with welding, fabrication, and assembly tasks for equipment repair or modification projects (we will train. ) Operate heavy machinery such as forklifts, trucks, skid loaders, and other equipment under supervision to assist with repairs or moving equipment Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and properly handling hazardous materials Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or coursework in automotive or equipment repair is a plus Some computer background would be helpful for logging in work orders and parts in our work order computer system. Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude toward teamwork Prior dealership experience or exposure to industrial equipment is advantageous but not required Valid driver's license preferred; willingness to obtain certifications such as forklift operation as part of the apprenticeship program Embark on a rewarding career path where you'll develop valuable skills in automotive diagnostics, welding, fabrication, and heavy equipment operation.
