SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Field Lube Technician is responsible for performing routine lubrication, fluid services, general maintenance, DOT inspections, and daily preventative tasks to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently. This role requires travel to company job sites to perform preventive maintenance on a variety of transmission- and fleet-related equipment, including Altec, Terex, Freightliner, Kenworth, Caterpillar, John Deere, and other similar equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Perform routine lubrication services in accordance with manufacturer guidelines Replace oil, fuel, air, and cabin filters and/or filter elements Inspect and lubricate body and chassis components Replace drivetrain lubricants Replace wiper arms, blades, and inserts Replace windshield washer reservoirs and coolant overflow containers Perform vehicle and equipment inspections Replace bulbs that do not require major component removal Test batteries using handheld battery testers Clean, service, and replace batteries and/or battery cables Perform DOT inspections Install compliance decals, including IFTA, license/registration, DOT decals, insurance cards, and related documentation Deliver parts as needed Perform all other duties as assigned
DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to travel to various jobsites, including frequent overnight travel Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures Ability to perform physical tasks associated with vehicle and equipment maintenance Commitment to safety and compliance with DOT regulations
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Field-based position with travel to multiple jobsites Regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions Work performed around heavy equipment and vehicles INTREN is an equal opportunity employer. Pay:
$28.31 per hour
