If you bring 2+ years of machine operation experience and thrive in high-precision manufacturing, this is your next step. A day in your life on the night shift Path 1: Cattin Furnace Operator You start your shift by reviewing HMI and IP gage trends, confirming furnace parameters, and scanning for heat profile changes. You'll run the bending process to deliver consistently high-quality parts, performing checks such as part quality verification, gaging, sag mapping, and xenon light distortion evaluations. Set, verify, and adjust Cattin furnace parameters; identify breaker issues early Interpret HMI/IP gage data to track heat activity and process trends Anticipate and correct convex issues with proactive adjustments Coordinate with the upstream Paint Room Operator to keep flow from Cutting to Bending smooth Execute changeovers and apply the relationship between windshield geometry and bending fixtures Path 2: Cutline/Paintroom Operator Your focus is precision setup and finishing. You'll select the correct paint, prepare and inspect screens, and keep programs and equipment dialed in for accurate cuts and consistent print quality. Locate and prepare screens; read and tape stencils correctly Ready the screen with booting and inspection; mix paint/materials and perform viscosity checks Operate panel views; use the Kurt system for process control adjustments Load programs from disk to grinders and cutters; assist with changeovers Make adjustments and troubleshoot with support once the line is running Change cutting wheels, springs, and grinding wheels; set up cups on the vacuum table Measure and adjust coolant levels; understand washer functions Who thrives here People who take pride in quality and performance Those who show initiative, accountability, and a strong work ethic Operators who excel in fast-paced settings and stay calm under many priorities Teammates committed to keeping the plant running smoothly Individuals ready to own a role with real responsibility and purpose
Qualifications Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience:
Minimum 2+ years of operator experience
Technical:
Some computer knowledge; understands PPE, lockouts, and e-stops
Mindset:
Eager to learn, teachable, proactive communicator with excellent troubleshooting skills
Attendance:
Reliable and consistent Physical and work environment Lift and regularly carry 45-50 lbs (including windshields over short distances) Raise/move objects between positions; repetitive wrist, hand, and finger motions Frequent twisting and bending of upper and lower body Stand on concrete for extended periods Work in extreme heat and humidity
