We are looking for an eager Car Seat Technician to add to our organization that is passionate about the health and safety of children and families. At the Little Lambs store families use Little Lambs vouchers they have earned from programs in the community to buy diapers, wipes, and health and safety children's items. We greet families, help them choose items they need, and ring their orders into the computer. We let them know about other programs in the community.

Qualifications for the Job include:

Valid Driver's License Must be able to physically lift 20 pounds and be able to assist families in installing car seats in their vehicles. Must be fluent in speaking English. We would prefer a bilingual candidate, especially if you speak Spanish or Haitian Creole. Preference for a candidate who is already a certified Child Passenger Safety Technician. If not already, you must become a Child Passenger Safety Technician - to educate and assist parents installing car seats. (This is a three day training - approximately 8 hours per day, which will be held in May or in the fall. The ideal candidate will be able to work at least one consistent Wednesday a month from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm and one consistent Saturday a month from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm. Other hours can be scheduled at your convenience, however, you must work 20-30 hours a month. Other responsibilities in this job will include being in charge during Little Lambs Store hours for approximately one day a month, entering forms, basic data entry, translating materials (if you are bilingual), attending community outreach events, etc. To learn more about Little Lambs visit our website at www.littlelambsevansville.com Since 1995 Little Lambs has helped safeguard the health and well-being of our youngest and most vulnerable citizens. Located inside the First Presbyterian Church, downtown Evansville, the store carries car seats, pack n plays, strollers, safety gates, diapers, breastfeeding supplies, baby bottles, sippy cups, clothing, and more. Little Lambs is a Child Passenger Safety Inspection Station and offers a Safe Sleep Program. Little Lambs is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
