You verify gauges are within tolerance, then move to incoming inspections—checking raw materials and components with calipers and micrometers against engineering drawings. Mid-morning, you complete a shipping audit, confirming packaging integrity, labels, traceability, and documentation before product leaves the dock. After lunch, you partner with production and engineering to investigate a defect trend using 5 Whys and the 8D process, document your findings, launch containment, and update control plans. You'll wrap up by logging quality records, supporting an internal process audit, and prepping sample part builds for an upcoming launch. What You'll Tackle Champion the facility's quality management system and meet customer-specific quality requirements Perform product inspections, testing, and containment to protect customers Administer and maintain the calibration program for inspection and measurement equipment Conduct shipping audits for packaging, labeling, traceability, and paperwork accuracy Oversee nonconforming material handling and defect containment actions Execute incoming inspections of raw material and purchased components Lead root cause and corrective action using tools like 5 Whys and 8D Assist with internal and process audits; drive continuous improvement Maintain thorough quality records and documentation Collaborate with production, engineering, and suppliers to resolve quality issues Support new product introductions and sample part build activities

PM Compensation:
$26.00-$28.00 per hour What You Bring Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent quality/manufacturing experience preferred 2+ years in manufacturing or quality (automotive environment preferred) Working knowledge of quality systems; familiarity with IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and Control Plans preferred Calibration program experience; proficient with calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools Comfort with SPC and basic data analysis Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings High attention to detail with strong problem-solving and communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and quality management software About Express Employment Professionals Express Employment Professionals is one of the top staffing companies in the U.S. and Canada.
