Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Truck Mechanic and become the backbone of our heavy-duty vehicle maintenance operations! In this vital role, you will diagnose, repair, and service a wide range of trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will keep our fleet running smoothly, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, air brake systems, hydraulics, suspension components, and HVAC systems using automotive schematics and diagnostic tools. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, shocks & struts replacement, wheel alignments, and fluid checks to keep vehicles in top condition. Repair and fabricate heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, and industrial equipment using hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and soldering. Disassemble and reassemble vehicle components with precision during repairs or assembly processes; ensure all work meets safety standards. Operate heavy machinery such as tractor-trailers and other industrial equipment for testing or repair purposes while adhering to safety protocols. Interpret technical schematics and service manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical issues efficiently. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring client satisfaction with the quality of work performed. Experience Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and heavy equipment repair. Dealership experience is highly preferred for familiarity with manufacturer-specific systems and procedures. Hands-on expertise in fabrication, welding, soldering, and working with power tools for custom repairs or modifications. Knowledge of Caterpillar machinery, excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractor-trailers, farm machinery, and industrial equipment is advantageous. Skilled in reading schematics and electrical diagrams to diagnose electrical issues accurately. Experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators or cranes is a plus. Ability to lift heavy components safely and perform physical tasks involving heavy lifting regularly.
