Automotive Service Advisor

Service Advisor Ray Skillman Hoosier Ford is growing and we are looking for an energetic, customer-focused Service Advisor to expand our amazing service team! We offer a competitive commission based pay plan! (65k-150k/year) The Service Advisor role is to be the liaison between customers and the auto technicians who work on their vehicle.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

You will need to be well-versed in product offerings, inventory needs, technician scheduling and customer service Properly and promptly meet with customers and determine their needs for repair and/or service of their vehicle issues Draft repair orders to the technicians based on meetings with our customers Prepares complete and accurate estimate of cost for labor and parts Monitor the progress of each vehicle throughout the day and updating customers Work with service technicians and customers to order needed parts and stay updated on order status to schedule follow up once the parts have arrived. Reconciling the customers final invoice with the work performed on the repair order Qualifications Prior service advisor or service writer experience preferred Possess Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills Bring a positive, upbeat attitude to this role and be completely comfortable upselling customers Excellent follow-up and follow-through skills to ensure client satisfaction Must have the ability to communicate technical information in non-technical terms Ability to evolve and adapt to changing business needs Valid drivers license and clean driving record
