Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs on powertrain components, transmissions, diesel engines, and other mechanical systems with precision and attention to detail. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair tools to execute repairs efficiently. Service and maintain vehicles by replacing parts, performing alignments, wheel balancing, and ensuring proper vehicle maintenance protocols are followed. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex issues related to ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), automotive electrical systems, and other electronic components. Collaborate with team members to ensure quality workmanship while adhering to safety standards and dealership procedures. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process. Qualifications Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance. Solid mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems including powertrain, transmissions, diesel engines, and electrical components. Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics software and schematics interpretation. Familiarity with ADAS technology, alignment procedures, auto estimating processes, and GM vehicle systems is highly desirable. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive service tools. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information effectively. Valid mechanic license or certification preferred; ASE certification is a plus. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
