Haysville, KS About Us ICT Trash Service is a locally owned and family-operated trash company serving Wichita, Haysville, Maize, and surrounding areas. We operate a growing fleet of automated side-load garbage trucks and support vehicles. We are looking for a dependable, self-motivated mechanic to help keep our fleet safe, reliable, and on the road. We are strong in company culture here where everybody matters! Position Summary The Fleet Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on refuse trucks, diesel engines, hydraulic systems, trailers, and support equipment. This position works independently and plays a critical role in minimizing downtime and keeping our operation running smoothly. Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on garbage trucks and equipment Diagnose and repair diesel trucks, including but not limited to: electrical systems, air brake systems, hydraulics, other truck repairs Troubleshoot PTO systems, pumps, valves, cylinders, and refuse body components Repair suspension, steering, drivetrain, and brake components Complete work orders and maintenance records Conduct safety inspections and identify potential issues before breakdowns occur Respond to occasional emergency repairs when necessary Maintain a clean and organized shop area
Qualifications Preferred:
3+ years of diesel mechanic experience Experience working on refuse trucks, heavy trucks, or hydraulic equipment Knowledge of air brake systems and hydraulic troubleshooting Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Valid driver's license Bonus Qualifications, but NOT required: CDL Class B or A Experience with automated side-load garbage trucks Experience with Mack, Freightliner, Cummins, Allison, Labrie, New Way, or McNeilus equipment What We're Looking For Reliable and dependable Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills Safety-minded attitude Pride in quality workmanship Ability to prioritize repairs and keep trucks operating efficiently Benefits Weekly Pay Paid Time Off Paid Major Holidays Family-Oriented Work Environment Stable Year-Round Employment Opportunities for Growth Why Join ICT Trash Service?
