About the Role As a Lead Automotive Service Technician, you will serve as a cornerstone of our service department, utilizing your advanced diagnostic expertise to ensure vehicle performance and reliability. You will play a critical role in maintaining high standards of repair quality, directly impacting customer satisfaction and vehicle safety through precision mechanical work. Responsibilities Perform complex diagnostic procedures and repairs on a wide range of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, and electrical components. Execute comprehensive preventative maintenance and safety inspections to ensure optimal vehicle operation. Address mechanical and electrical drivability concerns with a focus on first-time repair accuracy. Complete detailed warranty and recall service documentation to meet manufacturer standards. Utilize advanced scan tools and diagnostic software to troubleshoot modern vehicle systems, including EV and hybrid platforms. Maintain a high level of productivity while adhering to strict safety protocols and shop efficiency guidelines. Qualifications Required Skills Minimum of 3 years of professional hands-on automotive repair experience. Demonstrated proficiency in advanced vehicle diagnostics and troubleshooting. Strong technical aptitude with a focus on detail-oriented repair execution. Ability to work effectively on light-duty trucks, SUVs, and passenger vehicles. Preferred Skills Current ASE certifications in relevant automotive service areas. Specific experience with Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram vehicle platforms. Prior technical training or certifications in Electric Vehicle (EV) or transmission systems. Proven track record of success in a high-volume dealership service environment.
