You will utilize your mechanical expertise to maintain critical transport equipment, ensuring that every vehicle meets rigorous performance and safety standards before returning to the road. Responsibilities Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical issues across various trailer systems to minimize downtime. Execute high-quality repairs on undercarriage components, including air bags, dolly legs, and tandem systems, adhering to manufacturer specifications. Perform comprehensive preventative maintenance to extend the lifespan of equipment and improve fleet reliability. Conduct structural body work and frame repairs to ensure the integrity of the trailer fleet. Document all service activities and repair plans accurately to maintain detailed maintenance records. Uphold a high standard of shop safety and organization, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly maintained. Collaborate effectively with the maintenance team while demonstrating the autonomy to manage individual repair workflows. Required Skills 1-2 years of hands-on experience in mechanical repair or a related technical field. Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret technical manuals and repair procedures. Proficiency in basic math and clear written communication for documentation purposes. Must possess a personal set of professional-grade tools and required safety gear. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 100 lbs and working in varied environmental conditions. Preferred Skills ASE certification in medium/heavy-duty truck or trailer repair. Advanced experience with pneumatic and electrical trailer systems. Proven track record of working efficiently in a fast-paced, non-climate-controlled shop environment.
