Hourly base pay Ulmer's Auto Care is looking to fill an immediate opening for a general service technician. Come work with one of the top, most respected independent auto repair shops with 11 locations in the tri-state area. We love to give back to the community that has given so much to us. We are driven by our Core Values , and looking for someone who aligns themselves with Service , Hustle, Passion , Excellence , and Doing the Right Thing .ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Conduct routine maintenance work aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity
- Undertake repair or maintenance tasks such as changing oil, checking and replacing fluids, changing brake pads, etc.
- Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues
- Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technology and best practices
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace
- Explaining automotive repairs and issues in a way that is easily understandable
- Testing the functionality of parts and systems
- Communicating with parts department and service advisors to obtain needed parts
- Saving and tagging parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer
WHAT WE LOOK FOR
- Proficiency in vehicle maintenance and technology
- Basic electrical knowledge
- Proficiency in suspension and noise concerns preferred
- Ability to work independently as well as a team
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Knowledge and understanding of vehicle repair
CLEAN DRIVING RECORD A MUST. IMMEDIATE DRUG TEST REQUIRED UPON ACCEPTANCE OF JOB.
