Hourly base pay Ulmer's Auto Care is looking to fill an immediate opening for a general service technician. Come work with one of the top, most respected independent auto repair shops with 11 locations in the tri-state area. We love to give back to the community that has given so much to us. ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Conduct routine maintenance work aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity
  • Undertake repair or maintenance tasks such as changing oil, checking and replacing fluids, changing brake pads, etc.
  • Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues
  • Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition
  • Stay updated on the latest automotive technology and best practices
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace
  • Explaining automotive repairs and issues in a way that is easily understandable
  • Testing the functionality of parts and systems
  • Communicating with parts department and service advisors to obtain needed parts
  • Saving and tagging parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer
WHAT WE LOOK FOR
  • Proficiency in vehicle maintenance and technology
  • Basic electrical knowledge
  • Proficiency in suspension and noise concerns preferred
  • Ability to work independently as well as a team
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Knowledge and understanding of vehicle repair
CLEAN DRIVING RECORD A MUST. IMMEDIATE DRUG TEST REQUIRED UPON ACCEPTANCE OF JOB.
