In this role, you will utilize your mechanical expertise to diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Your hands-on skills and automotive knowledge will help keep our customers' vehicles running smoothly, providing them with confidence and peace of mind. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, powertrains, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and steering components. Service vehicles by executing oil changes, tire rotations, wheel alignments, wheel balancing, and tire service to ensure safety and efficiency. Repair or replace critical components such as ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), air brakes, auto body parts, and welding repairs to meet manufacturer standards. Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently for mechanical repairs while adhering to safety protocols. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex automotive electrical systems and engine issues. Maintain detailed service records, prepare auto estimating reports, and communicate repair findings clearly to customers with excellent customer service skills. Qualifications Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair across various vehicle types; dealership experience is highly preferred. Solid understanding of automotive electrical systems, schematics, diesel engine repair, and powertrain components. Hands-on experience with ADAS technology, air brake systems, transmissions, suspension systems, and wheel alignment procedures. Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment along with familiarity with GM vehicles or similar brands is advantageous. Ability to work efficiently with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive maintenance tools. Mechanical knowledge complemented by excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills for explaining technical issues clearly to customers and team members.
