Full Job Description Mechanic Pay:

Position Overview:
We are actively seeking a skilled and dependable Mechanic to support the maintenance and repair of a diverse fleet of vehicles and heavy equipment. This role is responsible for diagnosing issues, performing preventative maintenance, and completing repairs to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting abilities, and experience working on a variety of equipment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in keeping equipment running at peak performance.
Responsibilities:
Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, repairs, and overhauls in accordance with manufacturer recommendations. Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on fleet vehicles and heavy equipment in both shop and field environments. Remove, replace, and install components and assemblies as needed. Utilize diagnostic procedures, testing equipment, and troubleshooting techniques to identify and correct equipment faults. Perform mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic diagnostics and repairs. Respond to maintenance requests and prioritize repairs to minimize downtime. Operate shop equipment, including cranes, welders, compressors, presses, grinders, tire servicing equipment, and heavy hand tools. Safely lift, move, and install heavy parts and components using appropriate tools and personal protective equipment. Maintain accurate service records and documentation related to repairs and maintenance activities. Assist fellow mechanics and support team members as needed. Follow all company safety procedures and maintenance standards.
Qualifications:
Previous mechanical experience is required. Technical school certification is preferred. Experience working on ¾-ton trucks, medium- and heavy-duty trucks, 18-wheelers, excavators, dozers, and similar equipment is preferred but not required. Understanding of engine operation, components, and related systems. Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems. Ability to properly use specialty tools and diagnostic equipment. Ability to obtain a Chauffeur's License or Class C Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within 90 days of employment. Ability to maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). Basic computer skills and ability to utilize maintenance-related applications. Strong communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to use hands and fingers to handle tools, equipment, and components. Ability to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach throughout the workday. Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely work around moving equipment, shop machinery, and heavy components. Ability to work in moderate to high noise environments and occasionally outdoors in varying weather conditions. Must possess close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
