Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician with expertise in gas engines (diesel experience is a plus) who is ready to hit the ground running in an independent shop. The ideal candidate is a high performer who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a meticulous approach to repairs, and consistently turns 45+ hours per week while ensuring repairs are done right the first time. We Take Care of Our Team:
We provide drinks in the summer, have fans in every bay plus 2 big port a cools, a Jet heater for the cold days and provide lunches monthly to celebrate our wins. Key Responsibilities Efficiently diagnose, repair, and maintain gas-powered vehicles with precision and efficiency in accordance with manufacturer and shop standards. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment. Adequately explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to employees and customers on an as-required basis. Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, brakes, filters, and fluid checks. Maintain a clean and organized workspace reflecting pride in your craft. Work collaboratively with team members and management to meet production goals. Keep detailed and accurate records of all repairs and services performed. Provide quality service that upholds our commitment to customer satisfaction. Adhere to all company policy, procedure, safety and environmental rules.
What We're Looking For Experience :
5+ years in automotive repair (independent shop experience preferred).
Productivity :
Ability to turn 45+ hours per week consistently.
Knowledgeable :
Skilled in diagnosing and repairing domestic and foreign vehicles; familiarity with diesel engines is a plus.
Technologically Savvy :
Proficient with Alldata and Identifix for diagnostics and repair procedures.
Professionalism :
A results-driven mindset, strong work ethic, and commitment to accountability.
Certifications :
ASE certifications preferred, but demonstrated skill and experience matter most.
Team Player :
Thrives in a collaborative, goal-oriented environment. Computer literate in basic Windows and shop management systems. Must possess own tools.
