Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Pre- and Post-Scan and Calibration Technician to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic scans before and after vehicle repairs, as well as precise calibration of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Your work will ensure that all repairs meet OEM specifications and that safety features such as lane-keeping, adaptive cruise control, and automatic braking are functioning correctly.
Key Responsibilities:
Pre-Scan Diagnostics:
Conduct pre-repair diagnostic scans to document any diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) or system faults that need attention.
Post-Scan Verification:
Complete post-repair scans to ensure all systems are fully operational, and all diagnostic codes have been cleared.
ADAS Calibration:
Perform accurate calibration of ADAS components, including cameras, sensors, radar, and LiDAR, perform dynamic and static calibrations on ADAS systems using OEM guidelines to restore systems to factory standards, and following OEM specifications and procedures.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain detailed records of all scans, calibrations, and adjustments for each vehicle, documenting findings and actions taken.
Customer Communication:
Work closely with service advisors to explain diagnostic and calibration results, ensuring customers understand the quality and safety of their repairs.
Equipment Maintenance:
Ensure calibration tools, scan tools, and diagnostic equipment are well-maintained, calibrated, and updated as needed.
Safety & Compliance:
Follow OEM procedures, industry standards, and local and federal regulations to ensure safety and compliance.
Environmental & Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers to feel and handle, reach with arms and hands, talk and hear. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may incidentally be required to stoop, kneel and crouch, lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 25 pounds A current valid driver's license and insurability rating is required

Experience:
Previous experience in ADAS calibration, automotive diagnostics, or repair is preferred.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in diagnostic and calibration software and tools; familiarity with ADAS systems is a strong advantage, along with basic knowledge of R&I's of bumpers and trim.
Certifications:
ASE, I-CAR or OEM certifications related to diagnostics and calibration are highly desirable. Attention to

Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for long periods, work with heavy equipment, and handle various weather conditions.
