In this vital role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty trucks and commercial vehicles. Your expertise will ensure our fleet operates safely and efficiently, supporting our commitment to customer satisfaction and operational excellence. We are also willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, air brake systems, hydraulics, suspension components, HVAC systems, and electrical systems using schematics and automotive diagnostic tools. Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, industrial equipment, and tractor-trailers. Utilize hand tools and power tools to assemble, repair, or replace vehicle parts such as shocks & struts, brakes, wheels & tires, and suspension components. Fabricate or modify parts as needed through welding or soldering techniques to meet specific repair requirements. Operate heavy machinery safely during service procedures while adhering to safety protocols for heavy lifting and equipment handling. Perform wheel alignments and tire services to ensure optimal vehicle performance. Maintain detailed service records and communicate effectively with customers regarding repairs performed or needed. Qualifications Previous experience as an automotive technician preferred. Ford certifications (or willingness to obtain) strongly preferred Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills Proficiency with automotive tools and technology (or willingness to learn) Valid driver's license and clean driving record Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Pay:
$18.00 - $60.00 per hour
