Full-time Job Summary:
Local, family owned and operated, well established business seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team in our Whitinsville Service Department with Sundays off. The ideal candidate will have expertise in automotive repair, maintenance and diagnostics on a wide range of vehicle makes and models. Pay level based on experience and knowledge. If you have a passion for working on vehicles and want to get out of the big dealerships we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform automotive repairs and maintenance tasks efficiently and accurately
  • Diagnose vehicle issues using appropriate tools and equipment
  • Conduct inspections to identify worn or damaged components
  • Repair or replace parts such as brakes, engines, and electrical systems
  • Align and balance wheels as needed
  • Provide exceptional communication to the service writers by explaining repairs and recommendations clearly
  • Utilize power tools and equipment safely
  • Perform Mass State Inspections as a back-up to our team
Experience:
  • Proven experience in automotive repair and maintenance
  • Proficiency in automotive electrical systems, powertrain, and diagnostics
  • Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively
  • Strong communication skills to interact with service writers professionally
  • Ability to use power tools and equipment in a safe manner
  • Strong computer skills and parts ordering experience
Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Familiarity with automotive diagnostics software
  • Experience in servicing various vehicle makes and models
