Automotive Technician Pikeside Automotive - 3.0 Westfield, MA Job Details Full-time $25 - $35 an hour 12 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Paid time off Qualifications Driver's License (Massachusetts) High school diploma or GED Experience working in the automotive repair industry Hand tools Full Job Description Overview Pikeside Automotive is searching for a qualified A or B technician. Needs to have minimum of 3 years of automotive repair experience and have your own tools. Toolbox available if needed. Top pay for the right applicant. Pay is hourly, not flat rate, and will be according to experience. Pikeside Automotive is entering our 16th year of business. We are a family owned business with a friendly atmosphere. We are a full service repair shop that repairs most model cars and light duty trucks. We are also a licensed used car dealership. We have a 5 day work week, Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm. No weekends! After 6 months, you will receive 2 weeks paid vacation. Health insurance is available. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs on powertrain components, including transmissions, engines, and vehicle suspension systems. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive wiring diagram interpretation to execute repairs efficiently. Service vehicle maintenance needs such as oil changes, brake inspections, wheel alignments, and suspension system repairs to ensure vehicle safety and reliability. Interpret automotive schematics and wiring diagrams to diagnose electrical issues in various vehicle models. Experience Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems including powertrain, transmissions, electrical systems, and suspension components. Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics tools and techniques for troubleshooting complex issues. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other repair machinery. Customer service skills combined with auto estimating experience throughout the repair process. Certification in automotive repair or related fields is highly valued.
