Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic automotive team as an Automotive Service Advisor/Writer, where your enthusiasm and mechanical knowledge will drive exceptional customer experiences! In this energetic role, you'll serve as the vital link between customers and our skilled technicians, ensuring vehicle repairs and maintenance are communicated clearly and efficiently. Your ability to combine sales skills with automotive expertise will help customers understand their service needs while fostering trust and loyalty. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to grow within a fast-paced dealership environment dedicated to delivering top-tier automotive service. Duties Greet customers warmly, listen actively to their vehicle concerns, and accurately document service requests. Explain repair and maintenance procedures clearly, providing detailed auto estimates for services such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmissions, alignments, suspension work, tire services, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and auto body repairs. Upsell additional services and maintenance based on customer needs and vehicle diagnostics to maximize dealership revenue while ensuring customer satisfaction. Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs, track progress, and communicate updates to customers throughout the service process. Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain detailed records of all service orders and payments. Assist in managing parts inventory and ensure proper documentation of all service activities for quality control. Cultivate strong customer relationships through excellent service writing skills, ensuring clients leave satisfied and confident in their vehicle's condition. Skills Proven dealership experience with a solid understanding of automotive service management and customer service principles. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive diagnostics, repair procedures, and vehicle maintenance. Expertise in auto estimating software, sales techniques, and upselling strategies to enhance revenue opportunities. Familiarity with a wide range of automotive systems including transmissions, oil changes, brake systems, alignments, suspension components, tire services, diesel engines, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and auto body repair. Ability to communicate technical information clearly to customers with varying levels of automotive knowledge. Experience in handling cash transactions accurately while maintaining professionalism under pressure. Mechanical background or mechanic experience preferred to better understand technician workflows and diagnostic reports. $50,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
