This position is designed for someone with at least 1 year of experience in the automotive industry who is ready to continue growing their skills in a professional repair shop environment. The primary responsibilities of this role will include portering vehicles, assisting with quality control inspections, helping keep the shop organized, and completing miscellaneous tasks that support the flow of the shop. The ideal candidate is fast-paced, dependable, coachable, detail-oriented, and comfortable using basic computer systems. Knowing how to drive a manual transmission is strongly preferred. This is a great opportunity for someone who has some automotive experience, understands basic shop operations, and wants to grow into a long-term automotive career. Responsibilities Porter customer vehicles safely around the shop, parking lot, and staging areas Assist with vehicle intake, final quality control checks, and post-repair inspections Help verify that vehicles are clean, complete, and ready for customer pickup Perform basic maintenance tasks as assigned, such as checking tire pressures, topping off fluids, replacing wiper blades, and assisting technicians Support technicians and service advisors with shop-related tasks to keep vehicles moving through the production process Take clear photos, document findings, and use basic computer or tablet systems as needed Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment Move parts, tools, equipment, and vehicles as needed Follow repair orders, checklists, and shop procedures accurately Communicate clearly with technicians, service advisors, and management Continue learning basic automotive systems, inspection procedures, and shop workflow Qualifications & Skills Minimum 1 year of experience in the automotive industry required Valid driver's license and clean driving record preferred Ability to safely drive customer vehicles; manual transmission experience is strongly preferred Basic automotive knowledge and understanding of shop operations Strong work ethic and ability to work at a fast pace Dependable, punctual, and willing to take direction Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail Comfortable using basic computer systems, tablets, and shop software Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Willingness to learn and improve every day Team-oriented attitude with a professional mindset Must be able to stay organized and handle multiple tasks in a busy shop environment This position is ideal for someone with at least 1 year of automotive industry experience who wants to keep learning, understands that details matter, and is ready to work hard, move fast, solve problems, and grow with the team.
Pay:
$18.00 - $24.00 per hour
