Experienced Auto Repair Service Advisor - Independent Repair Shop Charlie & Ray's Auto Repair is a locally owned, growing independent auto repair shop in Essex, Maryland , committed to delivering a transparent, high-quality, and customer-focused repair experience. We service all makes and models and pride ourselves on professionalism, integrity, and strong relationships with our clients and our team. We are currently seeking an experienced Service Advisor who is customer-oriented, detail-driven, technology-savvy, and coachable. This role is best suited for someone with prior experience in an independent auto repair shop environment . What You'll Do Greet customers and guide them through the repair process with clarity and professionalism Present inspection findings and repair recommendations in an ethical, educational manner Build trust and long-term relationships with clients Create accurate estimates and repair orders, ensuring all details are correct Communicate effectively with technicians to ensure efficient workflow Utilize digital inspection tools, estimating software, and customer communication technology Follow established service processes while continuously improving performance What We're Looking For Experience as a Service Advisor in an independent auto repair shop (all makes and models) Strong sales and customer communication skills without high-pressure tactics High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Comfortable using technology (digital inspections, CRM, texting, estimating software) Positive attitude, reliability, and a team-first mindset Coachable and open to feedback and ongoing development Dealership-only experience may not translate well to this environment unless you have worked in an independent repair setting.
