13 Weeks Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) for a 13-week night shift contract. This role focuses primarily on decontamination with occasional rotation into sterilization. Ideal candidates have strong experience in high-acuity environments , including Trauma Level I or II facilities . Key Responsibilities Perform instrument decontamination, cleaning, and sterilization Operate and maintain sterilization equipment and systems Inspect, assemble, and package surgical instruments Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards Rotate within department (decontamination & sterilization) as needed Maintain accurate documentation and tracking of instruments Support workflow across units and affiliated facilities when required Equipment & Systems Used Steam Sterilizers Washer Disinfectors VPR Low-Temperature Sterilization Medivators (Scope Processing) Scope Buddy Cart Washer Requirements Minimum 2 years of Sterile Processing experience (required) Experience in Trauma Level I or II hospitals (required) Certification required: CBSPD or
IAHCSMM/HSPA
Strong knowledge of sterilization standards and infection control First-time travelers will not be considered Schedule & Expectations Day /
Mid Shift:
12:00 PM•8:30 PM (Mon-Fri)
Weekends & Holidays:
Required as scheduled
Floating:
May be required within specialty, units, or sister facilities
On-Call:
