Job Description

With a strong presence across multiple franchises, the dealership is dedicated to providing exceptional automotive services while actively supporting local organizations and community initiatives. Position Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Reconditioning Manager to support the daily operations of our vehicle reconditioning department. This role is responsible for helping coordinate vehicle flow, monitoring quality standards, assisting with vendor and technician communication, and ensuring vehicles are reconditioned efficiently and ready for sale. Key Responsibilities Assist in managing the daily workflow of vehicle reconditioning operations. Coordinate vehicle movement through inspection, mechanical repair, detailing, and final quality control. Monitor reconditioning timelines to ensure vehicles are frontline-ready as quickly as possible. Work closely with service technicians, detail staff, parts personnel, and outside vendors. Review repair recommendations and assist in controlling reconditioning expenses. Conduct quality inspections to ensure vehicles meet dealership standards. Track vehicle status and maintain accurate records in dealership management systems. Assist with scheduling and prioritizing work to meet inventory and sales department needs. Help maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment. Communicate effectively with management regarding vehicle status, delays, and process improvements. Qualifications Automotive dealership or service department experience preferred. Knowledge of vehicle inspection, repair, and detailing processes. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Proficiency with dealership management software and basic computer applications. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the dealership for extended periods. Ability to enter and exit vehicles frequently. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
