We are seeking motivated candidates to join our growing team who have a minimum of 1-year hands-on automotive mechanic experience and are ready to apply their skills to experimental prototype vehicles and retrofits. Requirements:
Must have a minimum of 1-year automotive repair experience in a shop environment including but not limited to removing the dashboard and replacing airbags, engine, drivetrain, suspension, brakes, tires, struts, etc. Must have automotive mechanic ability to operate shop equipment, (e.g., vehicle hoist, lifts, tire machine, diagnostic tools, OBD-ll scanner, digital multimeter, strut compressor, etc.) Must be 18 years of age or older High school diploma or equivalent required Own your own tools with a rolling lockable toolbox, (if not, PDW offers a toolbox program) Ability to read and follow technical instructions, schematics, and written procedures Strong work ethic and attention to detail Preferred qualifications but not required: Valid driver's license and good driving record ASE certifications Ford experience
Responsibilities:
Diagnose, repair, and maintain prototype vehicles Perform a variety of mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic tasks Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance and calling for repairs Work closely with engineers and test teams to troubleshoot issues Maintain accurate repair and service documentation Ensure a safe and organized work environment
Shifts:
AM day shift & PM night shift: Monday - Friday, plus overtime & weekends as needed
