Job Description

Validation Test Technician (Temporary Assignment)Are you an experienced automotive technician who enjoys troubleshooting, diagnostics, and working with cutting-edge vehicle technology? Join a dynamic team where your mechanical expertise and problem-solving skills help validate advanced automotive diagnostic systems used by leading manufacturers.

As a Validation Test Technician, you will perform hands-on vehicle testing in a garage environment, validate diagnostic hardware and software, and help ensure the accuracy of automotive diagnostic tools. This temporary position is ideal for automotive technicians, dealership mechanics, ASE-certified professionals, or individuals with strong experience in automotive electrical and diagnostic work.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform vehicle diagnostic testing and validation procedures.

Inject faults into vehicle systems to simulate real-world conditions.

Execute test cases and verify diagnostic tool accuracy.

Document test results, pass/fail outcomes, and defects using testing software.

Collaborate with engineering teams to communicate findings and resolve issues.

Stay current on automotive technologies and diagnostic tools.

Support team projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of automotive, mechanical, and electronic systemsValid driver's license with the ability to operate automatic and manual transmission vehiclesStrong computer skills and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
Automotive electronics and electrical schematic experienceDealership technician experienceASE Certification or Michigan Mechanic CertificationAssociate or Bachelor's degree in an automotive-related field2+ years of automotive repair technician experience
