In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and service a wide range of vehicles, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and customer satisfaction. Your expertise will help keep vehicles running smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of our automotive service center. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Repair and maintain various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, powertrain components, suspension, steering, brakes, shocks & struts, and electrical systems. Conduct specialized repairs such as diesel engine repairs, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibration, auto body repairs, welding, and wheel alignments. Service vehicle components through oil changes, tire rotations, tire service, wheel alignments, brake repairs, and suspension work to ensure safety and reliability. Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently to disassemble, repair, or replace parts with precision. Read and interpret technical manuals and schematics to execute repairs accurately on GM vehicles or other makes. Maintain detailed records of all work performed for quality assurance and customer transparency. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and offering recommendations for ongoing vehicle maintenance. Experience Looking for a fully certified mechanic with experience in an automotive dealership or repair shop environment. Familiarity with automotive diagnostics software and electrical systems troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with ADAS calibration, diesel engine repair, auto estimating, and auto body repair is highly desirable. Knowledge of automotive schematics, powertrain systems, transmissions, oil change procedures, wheel alignment techniques, suspension components, tire service practices, shocks & struts replacement, brake repair methods, welding skills, and general automotive electrical systems. Dealership experience is preferred but not mandatory; a strong mechanical background with customer service skills is essential. Ability to work efficiently with hand tools and power tools in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
