Job Description
Automotive Body Quality Inspector Job Type:
Full-Time Location:
Troy, MI Schedule:
6am-2:30pm (Monday-Friday) OR 9pm-5:30am (Sunday-Thursday) Description The Quality Inspector is tasked with inspecting both incoming and outgoing vehicles upon their arrival in the building, or their departure from the paint shop. This position will also be required to move vehicles from the lot and stage finished vehicles for outdoor pickup.Essential job functions:
Inspecting incoming vehicles under LED light tunnels to identify any defects Mark vehicles with white crayon to note areas of defect Follow standard operating procedures per OEM direction when inspecting and noting flaws Adhere to quality inspection standards based upon each differing program quality standards Track, analyze, and chart C/M to Market Quality claims for Paint items Driving, detailing and staging vehicles during low volume periods Supporting department with quality maturation data after production has launched Communicating all data to Quality Manager in conjunction with quality management standards Interacting with OEM Supplier Quality teams while ensuring professional and prompt communication Qualifications High school degree or GED required 1-3 years of exposure to paint, inspection or quality standards in automotive Valid Driver's License Requires the following skills: Excellent communication, both oral and written. Must be able to communicate effectively via telephone, email and written means Must be able to multi-task and ensure follow up and follow through on required tasks High degree of organization and ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment Intermediate skills with computer applications (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.)Lifting Requirements:
