Job Description
Position Description:
The primary function of the Service and Warranty Advisor is to support the Fleet Maintenance Department with warranty work, training, as well as parts and shop office projects. This is a full-time position reporting to the Director of Maintenance/Shop Manager.Essential Job Functions:
Warranty Work:
Part warranty on work performed in-house for all vendors; Additional extended warranty packages, OEM warranty tracking, Policy request Aftermarket Warranty. Evaluate warranty processes.TMT and Shop Office:
Service writer training in how to inputWO, DVIR
entering all facilities (temp), Assist in Service Writing.Engine Improvement:
Horsepower upgrades to fleet with Cummins power, After treatment advisement protocols. Meet with internal and external customers to listen to their needs for repair and / or service of their vehicle issues. Prepares repair orders (RO) by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required. Be available, on a rotational basis, for on-call in response to after-hour and emergency requests. Also including Saturday 7-12pm short shift rotation. Responsible for overseeing the technician working on customers vehicle including their time management / efficiency, parts ordering, job completion times. Follows company quality, safety and environmental guidelines as well as employee handbook policies. Regular and reliable attendance and presence at work. Good interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively perform responsibilities under a high level of stress. Operate in a constant state of alertness and safe manner. Other duties as assigned by management. Schedule work with outside vendors and in our shop. Assist or lead special projects. Develops estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor. Increase customer satisfaction by building customer relations both internal and external. Maintain the Companys standards for ethical business practices, professional image, orderliness, customer. Oversee and participate in quality control. Participate in the development of documentation of standard operating procedures as appropriate. Follows company quality, safety and environmental guidelines as well as employee handbook policies.Qualifications/Experience/Education:
5+ years of position related experience. Strong organizational and time management skills. Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office/Teams. Pass pre-employment drug screen, and 7-year criminal background check. Attention to detail and positive attitude.Additional Information:
