The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance and repair. This role requires proficiency in automotive diagnostics, as well as the ability to provide exceptional customer service. The Automotive Technician will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that vehicles are operating safely and efficiently. Duties Perform routine vehicle maintenance including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections. Conduct thorough automotive diagnostics to identify issues and recommend appropriate repairs. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to perform repairs on various vehicle systems, including powertrain components. Weld and fabricate parts as needed to ensure vehicle integrity and performance. Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used for each vehicle. Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair needs clearly and professionally to clients. Assist in auto estimating for repairs and services required on vehicles. Stay updated with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques through continuous learning. Experience Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or similar role is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools. Familiarity with automotive diagnostics systems and troubleshooting techniques is essential. Experience in customer service within the automotive industry is a plus. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment. A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications required by the State of Michigan.
