After suiting up with PPE, you review the work order, complete your start-up checks, and bring an automated injection molding cell online. Robotic handling equipment picks, places, and presents parts. You monitor the process, make basic adjustments, and verify the first shots with gauges, calipers, and templates. Throughout the shift, you record counts, track inspection results, and keep your area 5S clean—all while collaborating with Supervisors, Quality, Maintenance, and the Plant Manager to keep production on pace and to the standard. What You'll Do Run and watch over plastic injection molding presses and automated soft-trim equipment to meet part specifications. Perform start-ups, shutdowns, and minor parameter or machine adjustments to sustain stable operation. Remove molded parts, complete trimming and secondary steps, and stage parts correctly. Carry out visual and dimensional checks using calipers, gauges, and templates; record results precisely. Accurately document production counts and quality data in the required systems or forms. Follow safety procedures at all times, including PPE usage and lockout/tagout practices. Keep the workstation orderly using 5S methods; clear jams and perform basic cleaning of equipment. Assist maintenance or technicians when needed and quickly escalate equipment or quality concerns to Supervisors. Coordinate with the Plant Manager, Supervisors, Quality, and Maintenance to meet output and quality goals. Honor scheduled hours, be available for overtime as needed, and comply with time and attendance policies. Support production with additional duties as assigned. Where You'll Work You will operate among molding presses, robotic handling systems, and inspection tools in a facility aligned to IATF 16949 and
ISO 9001
quality standards. The environment may include moderate noise, heat, and moving machinery. What You Bring Required High school diploma or equivalent. Experience working in a fast-paced industrial or manufacturing setting. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work collaboratively. Competence with measurement tools (calipers, gauges) and strong attention to detail. Self-starter mindset focused on excellence and continuous improvement. Reliable, safety- and quality-focused work ethic with an efficient work style. Preferred 2-3 years in automotive manufacturing or injection molding (or a closely related environment). Comfort working with automated machinery and robotics. Knowledge of ISO and IATF quality expectations. Understanding of plastic materials, molding parameters, and basic machine troubleshooting; ability to read work instructions. Mechanical aptitude and entry-level troubleshooting skills. Experience with soft-trim parts and finesse finishing. Interest in developing new skills and growing within the company. Forklift operation capability. Familiarity with automotive PPAP, APQP, or ISO/TS quality requirements. Physical Demands Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, walking, and continuous standing; repetitive hand and arm motions. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Comfort working around moderate noise, heat, and moving equipment.
