Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs on various vehicle components including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain systems. Use hand tools and power tools efficiently to disassemble and reassemble vehicle systems following manufacturer specifications. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex automotive electrical and mechanical problems. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring work is completed promptly and accurately. Requirements Proven mechanic experience with dealership or independent auto repair shops. Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle makes and models; familiarity with GM vehicles is a plus. Experience with automotive diagnostics, schematics reading, diesel engine repair, and automotive electrical systems. Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools safely and effectively. Knowledge of ADAS calibration, alignment procedures, suspension systems, tire service, brake repair, auto estimating software, and auto body repair is highly desirable.
