For questions, Please email recruiting-usa@formeld.com The Automotive Mechanic is responsible for inspection, repair and diagnostic services. You will work on computer systems diagnosis, electrical troubleshooting, and mechanical/electrical component replacement. You must have the ability to explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include other associates and customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform work specified repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and/or OEM standards. Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brake, air conditioning, etc. to specification. Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to management and customers. Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology. Inspect and test new vehicles and recording findings so that necessary repairs can be made. Work will be performed in a manufacturing facility and can include working on the assembly line.
Qualification/Requirement:
Current driver's license; clean driving record. Pass a criminal background check and drug screen. Work assigned schedule which may include multiple shifts, weekends and holidays; work overtime when required. Arrive to work on-time. Have strong verbal and written communication skills. Preferably have experience with OEM. Computer skills required. Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service. Working knowledge of shop equipment such as diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.
Environmental Requirements:
Will be exposed to extreme temperature changes and noise. Some duties performed outside in all weather conditions. This is a physically demanding position. Must be able to lift, push, pull, move product, equipment and supplies up to fifty (50) pounds. Must be able to work at heights up to 20-25 feet. Regularly stands, bends, lifts and moves intermittently during shifts of 8+ hours.
Experience/Education:
Must obtain a high school diploma or equivalent. One to two years' experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
