In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact between customers and our service department, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for every client. Your expertise in automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and customer service will drive customer satisfaction and foster long-term relationships. Duties Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs Write accurate and comprehensive service estimates using auto estimating tools, detailing repairs such as transmissions, brake repair, oil changes, tire service, suspension, shocks & struts, alignment, air brake systems, diesel engine repair, and auto body repair Communicate effectively with technicians regarding vehicle diagnostics and repair procedures to ensure clarity on scope of work Upsell additional services and maintenance opportunities based on mechanical knowledge and vehicle history to maximize dealership revenue Handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining detailed records of all service orders and payments Coordinate with mechanics to prioritize repairs such as auto diagnostics, mechanical repairs, or specialized services like auto transmission or diesel engine work Maintain excellent customer service by providing timely updates on vehicle status and explaining repairs clearly and transparently Experience Proven dealership experience as an automotive service writer or in auto service management Strong background in automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and vehicle maintenance procedures Experience with auto estimating software and familiarity with automotive repair processes including transmissions, oil changes, tire services, suspension systems, brakes, shocks & struts, alignments, and diesel engine repairs Demonstrated ability to upsell services while maintaining integrity and customer trust Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients Knowledge of auto body repair processes and specialized systems such as air brakes or auto suspensions is a plus Previous experience handling cash transactions accurately in a fast-paced environment Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering exceptional automotive care.
