Automotive Technician Estimator

Service Advisor / Estimator - Automotive Repair We are looking for an experienced Automotive Service Advisor / Estimator to join our team. This position is ideal for a retired technician or an experienced automotive tech looking to transition off the shop floor into a customer-facing role. The right candidate must have strong automotive repair knowledge and the ability to build accurate, trustworthy repair estimates based on customer concerns and technician findings. This is not a high-pressure sales position — we focus on honesty, customer service, and quality repairs. Responsibilities Greet customers and assist with vehicle concerns Answer incoming phone calls and schedule appointments Build repair estimates Communicate with technicians regarding vehicle repairs and recommendations Cash customers out and manage invoicing/payment processing Manage and organize the parts room Order, receive, and track parts as needed Maintain clear communication and excellent customer service throughout the repair process Qualifications Extensive automotive repair experience required Strong mechanical understanding and diagnostic knowledge Previous technician experience strongly preferred Service advisor experience is a plus, but not required for the right candidate Organized, dependable, and professional Comfortable working with customers and handling phones Basic computer skills required Ideal Candidate Retired automotive technician Experienced technician looking to transition into advising/service writing Independent shop experience preferred Someone who values honesty, efficiency, and customer relationships What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Stable, long-term position Supportive team environment Opportunity to use your automotive knowledge without the physical demands of full-time wrenching, or the need to make sales.
