You will be responsible for fleet maintenance and repairs of tractor trailers, fork trucks, and industrial machinery. Fantastic opportunity with a growing company for an experienced wrench with a CDL that can also support occasionally delivery of equipment to local sites. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, suspension components, air brakes, and other heavy-duty systems. Conduct preventive maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire services, alignment checks, and system inspections to maximize equipment uptime. Fabricate and modify parts or components using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics to meet specific operational needs. Repair and maintain farm machinery, excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractor-trailers, industrial equipment, and other heavy machinery. Utilize technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic software to troubleshoot electrical systems, HVAC units, hydraulics, shocks & struts, and other mechanical issues. Perform welding and soldering tasks for equipment repair or fabrication projects requiring precision work. Assist with heavy lifting tasks safely using appropriate lifting gear or heavy equipment operation skills to ensure efficient repairs. Requirements Proven mechanic experience with a focus on diesel engine repair and automotive diagnostics. Dealership experience is highly preferred for familiarity with manufacturer-specific systems. Strong mechanical knowledge of transmissions, air brake systems, hydraulics, suspension components, HVAC systems, and vehicle maintenance procedures. Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques including welding and soldering; ability to read schematics accurately. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic software, and service manuals for troubleshooting complex issues. Ability to operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts or tractor-trailers safely and efficiently. Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to communication and problem-solving. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks regularly while maintaining safety standards.
