Automotive Service Writer

Duties Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs Write detailed service orders, accurately documenting customer complaints and vehicle information Explain repair procedures, estimates, and recommended services clearly to customers Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs, ensuring timely completion of services such as but not limited to oil changes, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, tire services, diesel engine repairs, and shocks & struts. Upsell additional maintenance or repair services by highlighting benefits and explaining options confidently Handle cash transactions and process payments efficiently while maintaining accurate records Maintain a thorough understanding of automotive diagnostics and mechanical knowledge to answer customer questions effectively Requirements Proven dealership experience or service writing background in an automotive setting Strong knowledge of automotive repair procedures including oil changes, brake repair, alignments, transmissions, and diesel engine work Experience with auto estimating tools and automotive diagnostics software Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems such as suspension, shocks & struts, and tires. Ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining integrity and customer trust Familiarity with auto service management systems and cash handling procedures Previous experience in automotive repair is highly desirable Any mechanical repair certifications highly desirable Join us to be part of a passionate 4th generation family owned business delivering top-tier automotive care! Pay:

$50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
