Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled Automotive Engine Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in automotive diagnostics, engine repair, and vehicle maintenance, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality service for a variety of vehicle makes and models. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, utilizing advanced tools and techniques to ensure optimal vehicle performance and safety. Candidates with dealership experience, knowledge of ADAS systems, diesel engine repair, and auto electrical systems will be highly valued. The position requires a commitment to excellence in automotive repair and customer service. Duties Diagnose and repair engine issues, including gas and diesel engines, utilizing automotive schematics and diagnostic tools Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, transmission repairs, and powertrain servicing Conduct brake repairs, suspension work, tire service, shocks & struts replacement, and wheel alignments Repair and maintain automotive electrical systems and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) Utilize hand tools and power tools to disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicle components Perform auto body repairs and welding as needed for comprehensive vehicle service Conduct vehicle inspections to identify mechanical issues and recommend appropriate repairs or maintenance Use auto estimating software to assess repair costs and communicate findings effectively with customers Maintain detailed records of all repairs performed in accordance with dealership or shop standards Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards Experience Proven mechanic experience with a solid understanding of automotive repair procedures Dealership experience preferred, especially with GM vehicles or similar brands Proficiency in automotive diagnostics, schematics reading, and electrical systems troubleshooting Experience working on transmissions, powertrain components, alignment, suspension systems, shocks & struts, brake systems, and tire services Knowledge of diesel engine repair and maintenance is highly desirable Familiarity with auto estimating software and customer service best practices is a plus Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized automotive repair tools effectively Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose complex issues efficiently
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
