Job Description

Job Summary We are a growing transportation and fleet maintenance company seeking a highly organized Service Writer to help manage daily shop operations, repair scheduling, work orders, invoicing, and maintenance planning. This position is ideal for someone with experience in trucking, fleet maintenance, diesel repair, shop operations, service writing, dispatching, or maintenance coordination. Responsibilities Create, assign, and manage repair orders. Prioritize repairs based on operational needs and safety requirements. Coordinate daily workflow between drivers, technicians, vendors, and management. Track repair progress and ensure timely completion of work. Schedule preventive maintenance and inspections. Monitor vehicle downtime and maintain repair status reports. Review completed repairs and prepare invoices. Communicate repair status updates to operations and fleet management. Qualifications Previous experience in fleet maintenance, trucking, diesel repair, service writing, dispatching, or shop coordination preferred. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Basic computer skills and experience with maintenance management software preferred. Knowledge of heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and fleet maintenance operations is a plus.
Pay:
$21.00 - $24.00 per hour
