Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle components including powertrain, transmissions, diesel engines, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems). Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair tools to execute repairs efficiently. Complete vehicle alignments, wheel balancing, and steering system repairs to ensure optimal vehicle handling. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems effectively. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair procedures, estimated timelines, and maintenance recommendations clearly. Maintain detailed service records, complete auto estimating procedures, and ensure all work meets safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Requirements Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair. Extensive knowledge of automotive electrical systems, powertrain components, transmissions, and diesel engine repair. Hands-on experience with ADAS calibration, vehicle alignment, and the use of schematics for troubleshooting. Mechanical aptitude complemented by familiarity with GM vehicles or similar makes is preferred. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive maintenance machinery safely. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Valid mechanic license or certification as required by local regulations; ASE certification is a plus. Experience with auto estimating software is advantageous; familiarity with dealership processes is preferred.
