DAY IN THE LIFE

Troubleshoots and repairs all types of equipment from heavy construction to light support equipment and work tools . Operates equipment to diagnose problems and inspects equipment for defects. Responsible for small welding and fabricating tasks required on equipment coming through shop . Able to complete tasks with minimal direction.

STEP INTO THE ROLE

• Performs repairs on all types of equipment and work tools.
• Operates equipment to diagnose problems and inspects equipment for defects.
• Assists supervisors, co-workers with a variety of mechanic , and related tasks as necessary.
• Highly aware of safety precautions , policies, and procedures and is able to assist management in maintaining a safe work environment.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• Mechanical and fabrication knowledge usually obtained through a 2 yr. post-secondary degree or equivalent combinations of training and/or related experience.
• One to three years of knowledge of maintenance procedures and tooling obtained through previous work experience in mechanic and light welding.

WHAT SET S YOU APART

• Valid Commercial Driver's License with acceptable driving record or willingness to obtain .
• Ability to obtain Hazmat with tanker endorsement .
