Pay:
$17.00 - $30.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications Bemidji Chrysler Center is hiring a full-time Automotive Mechanic to join our dealership service department in Bemidji, MN. This is a steady opportunity for someone who enjoys diagnosing vehicle issues, performing quality repairs, and being part of a dependable, team-focused shop. We are looking for someone with strong mechanical ability, good attention to detail, and pride in doing the job right. Previous experience as an automotive mechanic, automotive technician, service technician, dealership technician, or repair technician is preferred. We are also open to talking with motivated candidates who have hands-on mechanical experience, a positive attitude, and a willingness to keep learning. Pay & Benefits $17.00 - $30.00 per hour, set by your experience and skill level Full-time, steady schedule Simple IRA retirement plan with employer match Life insurance Health Flex Spending Account Paid vacation time Paid, ongoing training to advance your skills and certifications A shop culture built on teamwork, where good work gets noticed What You'll Do Troubleshoot engine, drivetrain, brake, suspension, and electrical concerns Carry out repairs, scheduled maintenance, and multi-point inspections to factory and dealership standards Operate scan tools, shop equipment, and manufacturer repair information systems Identify additional service needs during inspections and flag them for the service advisors Write up repair orders with accurate notes on diagnosis and work completed Verify repairs with road tests when the job calls for it Work alongside advisors, parts staff, and fellow mechanics to keep vehicles moving through the shop Keep your bay clean, organized, and safe Do your part to send every customer home confident in the work What We're Looking For Hands-on experience as a mechanic, automotive technician, or service technician preferred Solid diagnostic ability and mechanical aptitude ASE certifications welcome but not required — we'll help you earn them Dealership background a plus, not a must Valid driver's license and a clean driving record Comfortable with basic computer use for repair orders and lookups Shows up on time, stays organized, and handles a busy shop schedule Communicates well and works as part of a team Life in Bemidji Our shop sits in the heart of northern Minnesota lake country.
