Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Trailer Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in heavy equipment and vehicle maintenance, with a strong background in diagnosing and repairing trailers and related machinery. This role offers the opportunity to ensure trailers are safe, reliable, and compliant with industry standards. Candidates with mechanical knowledge, and proficiency in using hand tools and power tools will excel in this position. This position comes with training if needed . Base pay is Dependent on Experience. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on trailers, including brake systems, suspensions, axles, and tires Repair or replace, air brake systems, hydraulics, shocks &, and other critical components Fabricate parts or modifications as needed for custom or specialized trailer repairs Conduct welding, soldering, and assembly work to repair or enhance trailer structures Use hand tools and power tools safely to perform repairs efficiently Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used for each trailer repair or service Ensure all work complies with safety standards and industry regulations Requirements Proven experience as a trailer mechanic or in heavy equipment experience is highly desirable Strong mechanical knowledge related to electrical systems, and suspension components Ability to operate heavy machinery such as forklifts, excavators, cranes, and other industrial equipment safely Experience with fabricating parts using welding or other metalworking techniques Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures including tire service and alignment Familiarity with farm machinery, industrial equipment, tractor-trailers, and heavy-duty vehicles is preferred Ability to lift heavy loads safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly Valid certification or licensing related to heavy equipment operation or vehicle repair is a plus
Pay:
$45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
