We are immediately hiring a Fleet Maintenance Mechanic at our Minneapolis, MN service center. Fleet Maintenance Mechanic Day and Night shift

Pay Range:

$23-$32.76/hr

Minneapolis, MN Job Summary As a fleet mechanic, automotive technician, you will help the terminal ensure that equipment is well-kept to allow the movement of freight throughout our network. Key Responsibilities Bumper-to-bumper preventive maintenance service and/or repair to tractors and trailers Preventive maintenance inspections Electrical troubleshooting Brake system repair Tire maintenance Minor diesel engine repair Air conditioning system repair Other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent 18 years or older Previous experience in truck and trailer repair Working knowledge of most systems of a truck tractor, trailer, and dolly Pass pre-employment drug screen, background check Physical Requirements This position requires but is not limited to the following physical requirements: sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, material moving, lifting, and reaching. In addition, this position requires but is not limited to the following cognitive requirements: Maintain situational awareness, read manifests, interpret navigation, and identify shipment labels accurately. Regular and reliable attendance is required. Working Environment This position operates in various environments, including indoor docks, enclosed vehicles, and outdoor areas. Work may occur in extreme temperatures, inclement weather, low-light conditions, and around moving equipment or other personnel engaged in freight handling.
