The ideal candidate will have a background in automotive service, vehicle maintenance, and mechanical knowledge. This role involves installing hitches, wiring, ignition interlock installs, U-Haul sales, and service ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. The Installation Technician will work with both power and hand tools, performing tasks that require heavy lifting and attention to detail. Responsibilities Install hitches and wiring according to manufacturer specifications. Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles with an ignition interlock device to identify any tampering. Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively to complete installation tasks. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of all duties. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols. Provide excellent customer service by addressing client questions and concerns regarding installations. Rent out and check in U-Haul trucks and trailers when not working in the garage on vehicles. Requirements Proven experience in automotive vehicle maintenance is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, and heavy lifting techniques is essential. Previous experience in automotive wiring is a plus. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer satisfaction. A valid driver's license is required for this position.
