Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Repair and maintain various vehicle systems including powertrain, transmission, suspension, steering, brakes, and electrical components. Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics to troubleshoot electrical problems efficiently. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized automotive repair tools to execute repairs with precision. Diagnose diesel engines and perform related repairs while adhering to manufacturer specifications. Conduct routine vehicle maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid replacements to keep vehicles running smoothly. Repair or replace vehicle transmission systems and suspension components as needed. Document all repairs accurately in service records and communicate effectively with customers about their vehicle's condition and recommended services. Skills Proven dealership or automotive repair shop experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair procedures. Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems including powertrain, transmissions, vehicle suspension system repair, and alignment techniques. Proficiency in interpreting automotive wiring diagrams and schematics for electrical troubleshooting. Familiarity with auto estimating software and customer service principles to ensure clear communication with clients. Strong technical proficiency with power tools, hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and automotive electrical systems. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to maintenance and repairs. Demonstrated service technician experience with a commitment to safety standards and continuous learning in automotive technology.
