Job Description

POSITION
MECHANIC The current vacancy is for a full-time position in the Lake County Highway Department in Two Harbors. 2025
SALARY:
$25.15 - $33.96 per hour
CLOSING DATE
Open until filled; initial review due May 8, 2026. Applications must be on official forms. Resumes will be accepted, but not in lieu of an application.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or G.E.D.; 1-year maintenance and equipment operation or an equivalent combination of education and experience; and a valid Class A Commercial Driver's license.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for performing skilled work in preventative maintenance and mechanical repair. Responsibilities may include inspecting machines for maintenance needs; determining and conducting appropriate maintenance, repair or replacement work; welding/fabricating; and operating applicable equipment and tools.
