Competitive compensation based on experience Ace Deliveries, Inc., a FedEx Ground Independent Service Provider, is seeking a motivated and reliable Fleet Mechanic & Fleet Manager to oversee the maintenance and management of our fleet of approximately 40 delivery vehicles. This is a hands-on position responsible for performing routine maintenance, minor repairs, and coordinating larger repairs with outside vendors to keep our fleet operating safely and efficiently. In addition to fleet maintenance responsibilities, this position will also serve as a trained FedEx delivery driver capable of covering routes during peak seasons, employee absences, vacations, and emergency situations. Responsibilities Fleet Maintenance & Management Perform routine vehicle maintenance including: Oil changes Fluid changes Brake inspections and repairs Tire repairs and replacements Battery replacements Preventative maintenance services Diagnose and complete minor mechanical repairs on gasoline and diesel vehicles. Maintain accurate service and maintenance records for all fleet vehicles. Schedule and track preventative maintenance programs. Coordinate repairs and maintenance with outside repair facilities and vendors when necessary. Develop and maintain positive relationships with local repair shops, parts suppliers, and service providers. Monitor vehicle condition and identify maintenance needs before they become major issues. Manage vehicle registration, inspections, and fleet compliance requirements. Assist ownership with fleet replacement planning and vehicle lifecycle management. Maintain an organized and clean shop environment. Respond to occasional vehicle breakdowns or urgent repair situations. Delivery Operations Support Complete FedEx Ground driver training and certification requirements. Maintain qualifications to operate company delivery vehicles.

Provide route coverage during:

Peak delivery seasons Driver vacations Employee absences Staffing shortages Emergency operational situations Safely and professionally deliver and pick up packages while maintaining FedEx service standards. Assist operations management in ensuring routes are completed efficiently when additional support is needed. Qualifications Previous automotive, diesel, fleet maintenance, or mechanic experience required. Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair procedures. Ability to diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs independently. Experience managing maintenance schedules and service records is preferred. Ability and willingness to become a trained FedEx Ground delivery driver. Valid driver's license required. Ability to pass all FedEx driver qualification requirements, including background screening and DOT physical requirements as applicable. Strong organizational and communication skills. Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a shop environment as well as perform package delivery duties when needed.
